Privacy Notice

Last updated: September 7, 2026

01 Overview

This Privacy Notice explains how NEMMX ("NEMMX", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information from visitors and account holders of the NEMMX website and platform, including anyone using our training, consulting, community and careers features.

By using the NEMMX website, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree with this notice, please don't use the site.

02 Information we collect

What we collect depends on how you use NEMMX. In general, this includes:

Account information

  • Name, email address and country/region, provided when you register for a NEMMX account.
  • A password (stored in encrypted form — we never store or can see your plain-text password), if you register directly rather than through Google or LinkedIn.
  • Basic profile information from Google or LinkedIn (your name and email address) if you choose to continue with one of those accounts instead of registering directly.
  • Marketing preference — whether you've opted in to receive updates from NEMMX.

Information you submit to us

  • Contact form submissions — your name, email, phone (if provided), organisation (if applicable), what you're looking for, and your message.
  • Careers-related information — if you apply for a role via our careers page, any CV, cover note or details you send to careers@nemx.africa.
  • Account deletion survey responses — if you request to delete your account, the reason you select and any comments you add.

Technical information

  • Session data — a login token stored in your browser so you stay signed in between pages.
  • Basic usage data — pages visited and general interactions, used only to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
What we don't collect: NEMMX does not process payments on this site and does not ask for payment card details, government ID documents, or exam/certification records.

03 How we use it

  • To create and manage your NEMMX account, and to recognise you when you sign back in.
  • To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form or careers page.
  • To deliver the service you've asked for — training, mentorship, consulting, or community access.
  • To send you updates about NEMMX programmes and events — only if you've opted in, and you can opt out at any time.
  • To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
  • To maintain the security of the platform and prevent misuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations where applicable.

04 How we share it

NEMMX does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers who help us run the platform (for example, hosting or infrastructure providers), under obligations to keep it confidential and use it only to provide that service.
  • Authorities, where required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Anyone else, only with your explicit consent.

05 Cookies & tracking

NEMMX uses browser storage to keep you signed in (a session token) and may use basic analytics to understand site usage. We don't use tracking for third-party advertising.

You can control or clear this through your browser's settings at any time. Clearing your browser's local storage will sign you out of NEMMX.

06 Your rights & choices

You have the following rights over your personal information, most of which you can act on directly from your Account page:

Access

View the information NEMMX holds about your account at any time on your Account page.

Correction

Update your name, country, or marketing preference directly, or contact us for details you can't edit yourself.

Deletion

Request account deletion at any time — see the section below for exactly how this works.

Portability

Request a copy of your account data in a portable format by contacting us.

Withdraw consent

Opt out of marketing updates at any time, without affecting your ability to use your account.

Restrict processing

Ask us to limit how we use your information by contacting Customer Care.

07 Account deletion, in detail

When you request to delete your account from your Account page, we ask a short, optional survey question about why you're leaving — this helps us improve NEMMX, and your response is kept for internal review even after your account is removed.

  • Your account is scheduled for deletion 3 days after you submit the request.
  • You can cancel the deletion request at any point during those 3 days by returning to your Account page.
  • Once the 3 days pass, your account record (name, email, country, login credentials) is permanently removed from our database.
  • Your anonymised survey response about why you left is retained for review, separately from your account record.

08 Data retention

  • Active accounts: we retain your account information for as long as your account remains active.
  • Deleted accounts: removed permanently 3 days after a confirmed deletion request (see above).
  • Contact form submissions: retained for up to 12 months to allow us to follow up, then deleted unless you become a registered user or client.
  • Deletion survey responses: retained indefinitely in de-identified form for internal review and service improvement.

09 Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypting passwords and securing our database. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10 Minors

NEMMX's student programmes are designed for people beginning their careers, some of whom may be under 18. If you are under 18, please do not submit personal information to NEMMX without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we've collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.

11 International users

NEMMX is based in Kampala, Uganda. If you use our site from outside Uganda, your information may be processed in Uganda or in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the site, you consent to this transfer.

12 Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of NEMMX after changes take effect means you accept the updated notice.
